    That’s an interesting list and information to accompany it. Thanks for posting it. It looks like NCTE has great resources for teachers who are facing challenges. Every time I look at a list of books that has been banned or censored, I’m always surprised by what is on there. I think my favorite on that list is that The Things They Carried had a fictional character with the same name as the author. How ridiculous is that?

  2. Huck Finn and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest… two very good books… of course they are banned. This just reinforces my belief that they will always censor the very best. And what’s this, banning any book containing the N-word? Are they serious? Isn’t anyone aware that kids watch TV and are exposed to this language all of the time? Well, I guess it must be okay if it’s on TV. God forbid anyone uses their imagination.
